Well, blimmin Eck guys..
... I didn't expect anywhere this kind of interest.. but I thank you ALL...
I'll reply to individuals soon, but for now,I simply don't have time
HOWEVER,here are some pics of what I'm doing for a very basic base... Just chucking it together really....

Yep... That's how much precision work I go for :smiling3: ....
IMG20230419173758.jpg
IMG20230419184639.jpg
All fairly basic stuff..just MDF base ,resin sand bag stuff that I've obviously painted myself, and then fixed in place :smiling3: ....
Next some more "Scatter", which I hope makes it look better....

..and the rear of the sanger, not exactly great...

But it's still a WIP,and just a simple base, hopefully it'll suffice ;)

You must be new to this hobby … I don’t remember the last time I thought I would finish a model tomorrow ;)
.... Just think of me as a wildly optimistic modeller with loads of great expectations,(which quite often fail to arrive on time!!),and you'll be somewhere close Jakko. ;)

A really spectacular build. The lengths you guys go to is incredible.
Don't know if they used the same colour codes in WW2, but these days a yellow stripe would signify HE. IIRC Grey was a chemical weapon.
Thanks for that :smiling3: .... and also for the info. ;)
Well done Smiffy! :thumb2: Looks the K-9's Cods from here!!;)
Cheers Rick,tis a very enjoyable build ;)
Nicely done.
Pete
Thanks Pete. :smiling3:
Not overdone at all mate,if you cant put a bit of wear and tear on a 25t hunk of steel then that just leaves the poor old knees lol...nice build :thumb2:
HA!... Very true !! Glad you agree about the weathering ;)
I can see this getting the D.
Andy, a brilliant bit of weathering, love the metal finish esp on those tools , that's some neat detail painting.
Cheers John..... I find that painting up the smaller stuff can be a nice break from getting all of the major weathering to blend. :smiling3:
The gun on the Priest is an American weapon, and American colour codes differed from British, but chances are good that modern NATO colours are based on American ones anyway.

Good information on packing tube colours here:
And the shells:
Thanks for that Jakko.... some excellent info. :smiling3:

...... TBC.......

Richard
Thanks Richard,I do like these types of things.....and this Academy offering is a rather nice kit. ;)
Looks good Mr Smith, what part did Cohan do ?
Cheers John.... Isn't it obvious? ;) ....
... He amused himself by flicking the sand all around the Parish....seemed to think he was in his sand pit!! :smiling3:
Coming on very nicely Andy!! Looking very good indeed.

Andrew
Thanks Andrew, it's nice to let the imagination run ;)

...... Will be bashing ahead with the base and getting the stowage on the Priest today,so should have some serious progress to report. ;)
As always, thanks to everyone for looking in :smiling3:

IMG_20230423_195517.jpg
.....
IMG_20230423_195649.jpg
... I've added some of the basic scrub, and drums etc, it's just a tiny bit to go yet....
Also you might have noticed some external stowage, next, I've just put some tiny bits inside ;) ...

If not, then nevermind.. they ARE there ;)
Next Time you'll see this it'll be in the completed section.. just gotta do the "framing" of the base, and do/add the figures... But we're pretty much there I reckon :smiling3:

Looking great Andy.
Thanks Andy :smiling3:
I agree the the two Gents in the above posts.....a nicely dug in Priest and a very homogeneous blending of base and vehicle! :thumb2:
Very kind of you thanks Rick... Almost done now. ;)
What he and the others said!
Ha!!... What I said to the above..
