The one i'm making is an aircraft from Einsatzkommando des NJG 101. It calls for RL76/22 underside with RLM74/76 wings an RLM74/76 mottle on the fuselage. do i remember rightly that you add a little red to the RLM22 Steve to make it more in scale?

Yes I do. Black is just too black on a scale model. I find adding some red gives a good scale effect but other use various greys or add green. I think all agree that black alone is a bit too strong.

The effect is amplified by my inept photography but you can see that the result isn't in any sense red on this undercarriage assembly from an Me262.

Cheers

Hi allyne , that cockpit looks excellent, i dont think a resin one would be much of an improvement , for a kit supplied office it really is good.Looking forward to seeing this one in the camo, in fact i might just start searching e-bay for one of these , it looks a nice kit!, keep the pics coming, cheers tony

Cheers guys. I'm enjoying building this kit. It can be made better with the PE and possible resin guns (still trying to find metal ones). But i'll do that on he next one i build

I had planned to do an easy scheme but i've just had an idea of how to do a hard one. So i might experiment on this one :smiling3:

Very nice work here Allyne. Revell seem to have come on leaps and bounds. Is this an original Revell kit or a bit like my daughters F104 an old mould from another manufacturer, monogram in the 104's case ?
