I'm in a different hotel this week.Room and beer are crap.Having to model sitting on bed with tray on my lap. Visited the real ale pub up the road a bit earlier.Had a couple of pints of 'Pressed Rat and Warthog'!.
Too many Pressed Rats and you'll be as pissed as one!

Ooooooh, nice!!
Got this waiting for me, in homage for been the fist kite (B (1) Mk 12) I worked on in my air force days. It was designed for oompa loompas to work on, @ 6' 1" it was a bit of a beast, I needed to be a contortionist with eyes in the back of my head....!:mad::eek:

Fist day on the flight line, when she started up I thought the bloody engine had just blown up!! That is when I learnt she used pyrotechnic charges!! :P :p

But, for all her quirks and foibles, she remains the queen of the sky's in my books, beautiful in flight!!:cool:
Last year was the first (and only ) time I've ever seen one flying. A really nice sight.

It's a dark coloured Mild brewed by the local 'Triple F' brewery. Also known as 'Road Kill' by the locals. I will be having a couple more after work this evening no doubt!.

Looks like between the ales you seem to be tackling this rather well Dave. I had this kit when I 'attempted' to try and do aircraft and noticed the cockpit area had a sizeable gap.

Like the office, looks great.

The kit suggests putting 100g over the nose wheel bay
Wow, that's a fair bit. Having a big nose helps.

I've sanded down the second lot of filler. But it still needs a bit more around the cockpit insert.I then glued some more lead sheet over the nose wheel bay.Theres plenty of weight to keep the nose wheel on the ground now.Next I glued on the fuselage insert to the underside. Its a bit wider than the opening. So I spread the fuselage apart a bit with a piece of sprue.image.jpg

Got a bit more done. The engine exhausts fitted and filled. In fact,This model is needing quite a lot of filler.Dont know if it's a bad fitting kit or my clumsy construction.Mind you,I'm also building a Tamiya Mustang that hasn't needed any filler.Ive made and painted a firing handle for the ejection seat head box out of copper wire.I think it's a bit small. But it's better than nothing at all. Will mask and fit the cockpit canopy tonight.ive also painted the camera bays, then masked and fitted the windows that cover them.image.jpg

Looking good Dave, loving the filler. Got a sneaky suspicion my current build is gonna need a bit after a couple of dry fits.

What filler do you use?

I use a product that's been around for years called Squadron Green. There are a lot of newer products on the market but I like this one.I use Mr Surfacer 500 as well. But it's only any good on small gaps.
