I’m assuming that isn’t the P tube at the rear gunner’s position ;)

Mr Smith , a most enlightening build, I too was concerned at the sight of the frame. At first thought you had got the kits mixed up and started a truck chassis.;)
Love to Rach and Young Mort.

Yep, just when you thought you'd got rid of me... I'm back with another Wingy build :astonished:!!
Another of my favourite WW2 German planes, always loved the look of the 111,in all of it's regalia,(with that in mind, I've not decided wether to do the bomber or Torpedo Bomber version yet ),
So then...the kit...

As you can see, there are a LOT of "extras" with it,not sure they'll all be used,(it was an eBay win,so came with it anyway!),the box is absolutely rammed with sprues...

So there you have it,it looks a cracking kit,(mind you,I DO like ICM stuff ;) )
It's actually a bit bigger than I'd expected, but looks very cool indeed!
I've made a start, more of that later mind, for now, anyone who'd like to pop in from time to time,or follow/comment,will be very welcome... Or just hurl plain old abuse!! :smiling3:
Cheers for now.....

blimey Andy, you do knock them out. Inspiration alert!

Well now I understand the "P tube"!! ;)
Anyway, been working on the two engines, and I have to say they are amazingly well detailed, and, despite being a bit fiddly at times,go together very nicely :thumb2:,the instructions...

...
IMG20240202172437.jpg
....
IMG20240202172502.jpg
Then the final stages...

That's them built up,and under primer, I've since put on a black coat which is still drying.
Unfortunately all of this excellent detail will not be seen, unless I leave the covers off for a diorama, but that was never the plan , anyway, that's it for now,as always, thanks for looking in :thumb2:.....

Hi Mick, good to see you, it's big enough in 1/48,so don't blame you for moving the 1/32 one on!! ;)
A nice looking kit this one.
It is Mark, I'd recommend it :smiling3:
Coming along nicely Andy, those engines look good
Thanks Joe,they were a bit fiddly in places, but very nice. :smiling3:

Well, after the shock and misery of the last ten days or so,I haven't felt like posting or doing much to this at all really.
However, I did make some progress before it all kicked off,and yesterday/today I dragged myself back to the bench and tackled various things, which I'll post up later. ;)

.... Cont'd...
So this is what I did before my world went wrong!!...
Landing wheels,engines, guns,exhausts,seats etc..
IMG20240211183726.jpg

IMG20240211175544.jpg
... and the recent tackling of the masks...
IMG20240211175246.jpg
I was going to try and reuse the set, external ones for the inside as well, but didn't trust being able to lift them off for the internals,so I cut some from masking tape as you can see, they look a bit ropey there, but should be ok?!! And here's the external ones..
IMG20240211175152.jpg
Didn't show both sides obviously, but hopefully it'll come out ok,it's now all been primed and given a shot of the internal grey,(which looks Green to me!!),
So that's it for now :smiling3: ....

Cheers for that Mark,it definitely is a way to try and escape from reality... something that can be a god send at times :thumb2:.

I've done some more bits, pics aren't great, and there's not much "commentary", sorry about that, hopefully I'll be back to my usual style of blogging soon....

That's it up to now, the internal stuff needs some explaining at some point, but for now, it's mainly together and fitted pretty well.
Until the next time, cheers for now...
