I may as well throw my hat into the ring, as Ron has chosen the Enterprise, I'll go with the Yorktown

I was hoping you would join in with one of your floaty things, I'm still looking at the 1/700 Zuikaku but will probably settle on a 1/48 Corsair.

Well that's annoying, was highest bidder on a 1/700 HMS Illustrious on eBay and the seller obviously decided to cancel the sale......

Sadly, it happens - sometimes they've got it advertised elsewhere, and sold it, and sometimes it's not getting the money they hoped for ( but that's just me being cynical! ) - good hunting

Or the winning bid is to low so they pull it....

I suspect the latter as it disappeared some time in the closing hour, opening bid was £20 though......

Karl, I meant to ask earlier...
Is a small diorama / vinegarett :upside: allowed or has the model to be a stand alone?

Thanks.
Ron

I'll let the general GB rules take care of that.

A GB subject can be built as is, or on a simple base. Or a Diorama.

Sorry Karl, I'm sorry but I just couldn't find the general rules for your G.B., hence my question.

Thanks for your reply.

It's in the general rules for all GBs, with the caveat that the person running the GB can say otherwise.

And I hadn't, so I won't, though I wouldn't of anyway.

Kit selected, plus a section of carrier deck from Eduard. Seriously considered one of the Japanese "sisters" but that'll mean buying a kit and possibly paint. This is in the stash and I have paint already.

Nice choice Karl. I’ve looked at that kit several times.

Before I go all out to buy in a kit to suit,I have an American GATTO class submarine in the stash :smiling3: ....
I know it's not a carrier or plane, but they did take part in this theatre at the correct time,so would it be acceptable?! ;)
