I'm not sure if they ever carried rockets as well as the torpedo, but it looked a bit bare without the rockets. The 6 .303 machine guns were removed from the torpedo versions, but they still had 4 20mm cannon. Must have made a hell of a mess of the target!

Just when it was all going well...
P1170457.JPGUsed a little too much Extra Thin - then didn't notice and tried to turn the prop! That'll get sanded and repainted when it's dry.

Two steps forward, one step back Pete. Shame about the oops on the prop. You could just leave it and say she flew into a really big bird and that's all what's left of it...Just a thought...

Well, I'm calling this finished. The BMF came off OK - it did leave a bit of adhesive on the canopy P1170458.JPGbut that cleaned up with a cotton bud and Sansodor.
So I braved the cold to get some outdoor pics:P1170459.JPGP1170460.JPGP1170461.JPG

A really excellent kit, good fit on all the parts and very little cleanup needed. Scheme is a 489 Squadron RNZAF aircraft based at RAF Dallachy in 1945.
