Well four hours of drinking , I mean decalling , later and ive managed to do the elevators and the outer wing panels . Probably about 150 tiny decals , some of which are about as big as a full stop. The fuselage and inner wing panels are next with hundreds more tiny stencils to look forward to! :tired: 1498CE2B-3424-409A-987A-5A3C5C60F397.jpeg31E1887D-3F3A-4388-B760-0B37F2B92404.jpeg69AD0A1A-DB18-4E75-ABBC-1E2AE707EA89.jpeg

Flippin’ ‘eck…..if the ground crew read that lot the battle would over before they got it in the air…..seriously though, aircraft decals are like track links….irritating and tedious, but have to be done. Little and often is the way I think…..

Total madness Tony, especially on a 1/48 scale wingy thing. Must be really intense to even get them in the right positions too. Give me 5 sets of Friul tracks to make rather than that lot. Fingers crossed for your liver Buddy and don't forget to post us your address in the rubber room.............

This is really killing me ! Ive had another two three hour sessions and managed to get about another 200 on . Still got all the underside and sides of the fuselage to do yet not to mention the pylons and stores !:tired: . Its really putting the brakes on the build as I have to psych myself up to it , the problem is that after three hours of decalling it doesnt look much different but I know if I didnt put them all on it would bug me!

The joys of decaling Tony, I feel for you.

Keep going, as the sheet gets smaller, the end will come nearer :smiling3:

This one has hit a bit of a brick wall ( not literally - im not that frustrated with it yet !)
After putting on about another hundred decals on the top and underside i came to the pylons and stores . The problem is that the remaining stencils numbers dont correspond to the numbers on the placement sheet, half of them just dont feature on the sheet at all !
I thought I could get round this by looking at the shape of the stencil on the placement sheet and finding it on the decal sheet but the placement sheet is just not printed clearly enough. I might just have to guess . 2DB3CA6C-0E2A-43E9-B498-8D77EFB4AC57.jpegCFC826E1-AD92-4CC5-9AD0-F96692948B11.jpeg58FF9DB0-9B65-4332-8292-A6254833BEB1.jpeg
