Hello Greg.
apparently the first one used was in Western Europe in 1945 along with one of the 8" howitzer versions but I can't find any details of where or what.
so Korea gets my vote too.
I made the AFV Club version some years ago which,apart from the wrong tracks,was very good.Don't know how it compares to the recent,very expensive,Tamiya model.

indeed Jon the version was a the T83 and changed to M40 into March 1945... but i think they were never used... the version that was used during WW2 in very limited numbers, the M12
