They said even test pilots had a hard time with this aircraft. There was no realistic way that nominally untrained civilians were going to fly these things effectively. And a lot of it was glued together, because bolts and other metal fasteners were in short supply. Only not as well as your model. A few test versions became unglued in flight. I guess not enough time was allowed to pass for the solution to set properly, but either way there were accidents.
