Got it. It's the Suur Toll, steam icebreaker, berthed Tallinn, Estonia.
Good spot.
She’s a visitor attraction now and is part of the Seaplane Hangar museum in Tallinn and well worth a visit alongside the Lembit submarine.

Trouble is, this is getting addictive! I keep telling myself not to spend hours searching Google, but....

It has what looks like a “squirt” handle at the back, and a cone at the front to spread the liquid. Also looks like a lamp at the front which could be a pilot light, so I would guess at some sort of early chemical weapon, perhaps a Chinese flame thrower?
Cheers

Jon, Jon, Jon - how do you do it?

It's a modern reproduction of a Cheirosiphon, a Byzantine Greek Fire projector, mid C12th.

Beat me to it …

BTW, does anyone have data on this vehicle, such as armour thickness, automotive performance, etc.? Anything except the bare basics is very hard to find for it

I know, my 20mm Jerries are 21st div and I nearly bought one to go with ‘em....in the end I bought the PSC 250s because there were three of them and I could do three different vehicles for the same price. France invented the half track I think....
I’ll have a think and post something soon....
Cheers

There's some info. on U304 in the Encyclopaedia of German Tanks including armour thickness.
What do you need?

Not the world’s best-laid-out website … but a bit of searching doers turn up a book on French halftracks that seems detailed enough. I might just order it someday — thanks for the pointer :smiling3:

@Jon: which Encyclopaedia of German Tanks are we talking about, exactly? :smiling3:
