Well done Jon! Built in Russia for the East German Navy, on the reunification of Germany the USA bought her to evaluate the Soviet naval capability. Now on display at Battleship Cove in Massachusetts. Inside are some interesting reports of the US evaluation - the Dept of Defense claiming it used out of date technology and would be useless in combat, the US Navy asking why they couldn't have things this simple and robust!
The 'damage control stores' consists of a shelf containing 5 tapered wooden bungs, and a hammer!

It's the wheelhouse Jon - I don't remember if there's a separate FIre Control Centre. I took these in 2005, but my camera battery was running out so didn't get as many as I would have liked.

Seems to have been a lot safer in a floating magazine made of wood than it looks.

The photo is from the net but I'm pretty sure it is Victory's stove.Warrior's stove was a later design.

Hi Jon,

Yes, on second thoughts, it is Victory's. I took this from a point a bit to the right of your photo, so the hearth to the left of my photo is the one in yours.

A clue, these last served the RN until the mid 90's, not bad for a ship born in the 60's
