Little-known fact: the Americans in the 1960s were so short of petrol because of sticking big V8 engines in everything from pickup trucks to Corvettes to pimpmobiles to wheelbarrows, that they needed to convert military transports to having gas generators.It's a boiler for a steam powered M548!
