The mesh is a big improvement, I'll have to remember that.
It's mesh used by the screen printing industry, an idea I'd never thought of until this came up. Available in many different sizes, and of course the US & UK have different standards for measuring itHi Andrew, I didn't catch the name of the mesh product. I wouldn't mind giving it a try in 1-87 scale, as I think it might be a little easier to work with than etched brass. Wouldn't surprise me to find out it's probably a little cheaper also.
Looking at the one piece track and wheels Andrew even I might be tempted, the only downside would be actually seeing it well enought.
Most impressive work , esp on the additions and track cleaning .
Sorry for the late arrival.

"screen printing mesh" should open up a whole new rabbit hole to go down lol
Looking good Andrew.......I have a few of these in the stash. This blog is whetting my appetite to get them out and start a similar "group" build in 1-87 scale!
Thanks Rick!Well Well, good of you to get back into this little project. That's a nice pair of kitties with their newly primed fur! I shall have to be on my toes if I expect to finish in the running with these two. Mind it's a good thing I didn't start the late version in the same thread as I would probably catch it from the Mods for doubling me pleasure!!
