You've got it Barry. It's aircraft "F" of the NZ Flying School, a Boeing and Westervelt photographed at Kohimaramara, Auckland in 1919, Both of the first two aircraft built by Boeing came to the NZFS arriving on 12 October 1918

How much will it cost for a clue to #51? My gut feeling is USA about 1948/50.

*** To put everyone out of their misery,it is the Monocoupe Air Cruiser,so you were right about the date span Kiwi.

Good one Barry...it sure aint a Peashooter. If it is a film mock-up they could have used a Ryan trainer as a basis? :dontknow:

Duncan in fact Hollywood did use some PT-22 trainers modified beyond all recognition as fighters,complete with camouflage and canopies.

I have to admit that I have not seen this latest picture that Kiwi has supplied before,he sure knows how to come up with some good un's !!

What a lot of fun,really taxes the old grey matter.

While you are pondering over #67 have a think about this (where the designer was obviously not sure as to how much dihedral he should use)
